Contract logistics
TTJ operates over 500 warehouses with a total capacity of more than 7.5 million square metres, and we are building in many more locations.
Do you need to hold stock close to your end customers?
We provide integrated warehousing and distribution on a global scale, yet still provide local flexibility. Our skilled local teams customise their services to meet your precise needs.
Do you prefer to centralise storage at regional distribution centres?
That’s no problem either. All our solutions are scalable and can be customised to your needs – as we recognise that no two businesses are identical.
Whatever your logistics needs, DSV can offer you the logistics setup that best suits your needs. Maybe you are unsure which is the best solution for you, in which case our supply chain analysts can be of assistance – working with you to analyse centres of gravity and determining the best locations to hold stock.
Start-up businesses are just as welcome as large multinationals.
Maybe you’re a startup that needs logistics advice and solutions in order to go global. With our scalable solutions and local support, it’s easy to add more warehousing in another location when the need arises. We work with you to create a future-proof logistics setup to facilitate and support your future growth.
Are there specific solutions for my industry?
Yes, industry-specific warehouse facilities and capabilities are available for companies in the automotive, industrial, high-tech, consumer products and healthcare sectors. But whatever your industry, we can tailor a solution to your needs.
For example, we built a special low-oxygen warehouse to store cocoa, which is highly flammable in large quantities.
What IT systems for logistics are there?
Our CargoWrite warehouse management system is based on best-of-breed JDA (previously RedPrairie) technology. It can be integrated with any customer ERP system and has been specially designed to accommodate demanding logistics scenarios such as bonded warehousing, virtual warehousing, Vendor Managed Inventory and a number of certified warehouse operations (e.g. GDP for the pharmaceutical industry).
I need fulfilment services
You are in the right place. DSV offers tailor-made logistics solutions for e-commerce spanning a wide range of products, from sports, leisure and fashion to electronic devices and more.
Pick and pack is the core of fulfilment but DSV can also offer associated services such as financial fulfilment, e-fulfilment, inventory management, returns handling and customer service. In selected locations we can offer a total multichannel fulfilment service.
What are the basic processes involved?
Inbound processing
Inbound processing entails the handling of goods before, during and immediately after arrival at a DSV warehouse. During the inbound process, there is a constant information flow between DSV and you, the customer. This ensures that you always have up-to-date information regarding the status and the availability of your incoming goods.
Warehousing processes
The basic storage process itself does not include any physical activities. There are, however, replenishment movements and cycle counts. Replenishment involves transferring additional items of an article from a storage location (usually located high up and towards the back of the warehouse) to a picking location (located lower down and in the front section of the warehouse). Cycle counting is a physical check of the actual stock level compared to the number of items registered as ‘in stock’ in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Outbound processing
The outbound process entails managing and controlling outgoing items, from the point of order receipt through picking and packing of the items for each order and finally to the loading of shipments onto the delivery trucks.

Whichever system is used, you are assured of transparency and visibility.
